Birth Doula Support

• Free consultation to become acquainted and discuss how I can be of service

• Email and phone support throughout your pregnancy for questions, resources, and referrals

• 1-2 prenatal visits between 34-36 weeks

• Prenatal visits can include (depends on package selected): childbirth education, discussion of previous births (if applicable), discussion of fears, concerns, goals, creating a personalized birth plan, comfort techniques and labor prep (covers use of a birth ball, peanut ball, TENS unit, education on the pelvis and positioning for baby, stretching and body prep, positions for labor, "spinning babies" techniques, counterpressure techniques, etc.), and breastfeeding education

• TENS unit rental and education included in certain packages (can also be purchased)

• "On-call" status starting at 38 weeks until baby arrives

• Emotional, physical, & educational support before and during labor

• Active labor support at home before moving to birth location (if applicable)

• 1-2 hours of postpartum assistance (immediately after birth)

• Candid photos during the birth if desired

• 1 postpartum follow up to reflect on the birth, answer any questions, provide referrals, and help with breastfeeding if necessary

 

During the consultation, I will gain an understanding of the type of services you want/need and create a customized birth package with pricing.
