Mother.  Doula.  Advocate.

In 2013, while pregnant with my 1st child, I found myself diving deep into the birthing world. I had already attended the births of a few of my cousins, and to say I was interested in birth work is an understatement.

In 2014, I was blessed to have an amazing unmedicated hospital birth with my doula and family by my side. After that, my love for learning about labor & delivery blossomed.

In 2015 I became a birth doula through Birth Arts International, because I saw the need for unbiased birthing support. I was passionate about helping people realize they had options, and felt a strong pull to educate and serve. Every birthing person deserves support and guidance in making educated choices regarding their pregnancy/labor/delivery, and to remind them that they can trust the strength of their bodies during this time.

In 2016, I welcomed my daughter into the world at home with the company of my midwife, doula, and family. My son was able to share in the experience as well, and that is something we will never forget!

The saying goes, "all that matters is a healthy baby."

...I beg to differ.

Of course the health of you and your baby is of utmost importance, but my goal as a doula is to help you try to achieve the birth experience you desire. I want you to look back at your birth and be able to say, "I was educated, I was supported, and I was in control of my own body & mind", even if the outcome differed from the plan.
